My Supernatural Childbirth Story

My Supernatural Childbirth Story.

I woke up by 8:30 am on the 20th of August feeling so uncomfortable in my lower abdomen – it felt like menstrual cramps.

I thought this was a false contraction so I got up just to switch positions, but the contractions didn’t stop.

My mother-in-law who is a nurse and midwife was with me so she checked me and confirmed that I was 2cm dilated.

By 11:30 am, I left for the hospital, and on getting there, one of the nurses said, “Madam, are you sure you are in labour? You are strong o”.

I smiled.

She took me in to see the doctor who assumed that I wasn’t in labour and wanted to send me home. I told him to at least check me first before sending me back home.

He checked me and I was 3 cm dilated, so he sent me to the labour room.

Immediately, I got to the labour room, I started playing my Supernatural Childbirth Playlist to help me keep my eyes on God’s plan for my labour and delivery.

At 3:30 pm, the doctor came back to check me, and I was 4 cm. I started to think, “This dilation is slow o; I don’t want to stay too long here.”

After a while, my contractions came in more frequently and it was a notch higher than the cramps that I felt earlier.

At 7 pm, the doctor came back to check me, and I was 8 cm dilated. By 7:30, I was moved to the delivery room, and the doctors took 15 minutes to prepare, with my contractions now heavier.

I felt my baby coming, so I told the doctor. He checked me again and asked me to push.

Before he asked me to push, he said, “You have a big baby.”

All through the 9 months, my husband and I confessed: “Quick, easy, and pain-free delivery with no tear. So I held on to this confession.

In my first push, I felt my baby’s head coming through to my vagina, and in my second push, I felt such a sweet, orgasmic feeling as my baby’s head came out and her body followed. This was at exactly 8 p.m.

After the doctor delivered the placenta, he said to me – and you didn’t have a tear!

After the delivery process, I felt the strength of God run through my body – it was such a good feeling. Like a human being didn’t just come out of me.

Gracious God! He promised me ease at the beginning and it was ease indeed!

Gracious Gracious God!
