How to be consistent with anything

Earlier today, I started reflecting on my progress this quarter, and I realized how much I had grown in being consistent with the things that mattered most to me. I noted a few things:

  1. Consistency is more about progress than perfection.
  2. Make sure you do not miss two days in a row. If you miss a day, pick it up the next day and build momentum from there.
  3. You are not your feelings. Do what you have to do even if you do not feel like it. You will be glad you did.
  4. Result is a product of consistency. Consistency >>> Intensity.
Little drops of water is what makes the ocean mighty. Take it one step at a time.
  5. Don’t be afraid to get up if you fall. Consistency is rooted in your ability to bounce back. Don’t give up. Forgive yourself and forge ahead.
  6. Accountability is a fail-proof tool for consistency.
  7. Be kind to yourself and never forget to reward yourself for any progress made. You are your greatest cheerleader.
